John Moses got his start delightfully offending audiences in his native Toronto at the infamous Yuk Yuk's Superclub. Before long his style–combining raw, edgy humor with topical observations that mix race, politics and pop culture–made him a well-known name on the regional circuit.

John Moses Biography

After studying screenwriting (with a minor in womanizing) at York University, Moses packed his bags for the United States, where he'd been told that his comic style would go further, and promised that his Indian blood would get him a green card (and possibly a casino).

Since landing on the East Coast, Moses has played clubs, pubs and colleges nationwide. Now residing in New York, the comic is quickly making a name for himself in the mainstream, playing clubs including Carolines, Stand Up New York, Laugh Lounge, HA!, New York Comedy Club and more–and drawing praise from fellow comics including Talent, Jim Florentine, and Ralphie May to name a few.

With a humor that transcends racial barriers, Moses appeals to black, white and Hispanic audiences alike.

"He's a cross between Michael Rappaport and Eminem." – Mark Breslin, Founder, Yuk Yuk's.
